Biography

Andreas Jäggi has since been invited to perform at numerous international opera houses such as the Grand Théâtre de Genève (Seven Deadly Sins and Mahagonny Brecht/Weill, Fiery Angel Prokoviev), Amsterdam Opera (Fiery Angel Prokoviev, Les Brigands, Offenbach, Die Fledernmaus, Strauss), Cologne Opera (The Bartered Bride Smetana), the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (The Flying Dutchman Wagner, The Bartered Bride Smetana), the Opéra du Rhin of Strasbourg and the Lisbon Opera (The Adventures of Mister Broucek and The Makropoulos Affair Janacek, Salomé Strauss), De Vlaamse Oper, Powder her Face Adès, Opera National de Lyon, Seven Deadly Sins, Luci mie Traditrici, Sciarrino, Trieste Opera, The Seven Deadly Sins, Opera Ireland, Monostatos, Die Zauberflöte.

Since 1976, Mr. Jäggi is a member of 'Companie Alain Germain'. He has participated in almost all the creations of this Paris-based contemporary musical theatre company. He has been a regular guest with the English Bach Festival, with whom he has sung the parts of Mitridate, Mozart, Orphée Gluck, Pylades, Iphigénie en Tauride Gluck and also both Pygmalion and the title role in Naïs by Rameau in staged productions at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Athens Festival, The Granada Festival, The Monte Carlo Opera.
