Brian Jagde: Now in his third year as an Adler Fellow at the San Francisco Opera, Mr. Jagde mainstage appearances have included Joe in La Fanciulla del West, Janek in The Makropulos Case and Vitellozzo in Lucrezia Borgia. He has also covered Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Froh in Das Rheingold, Don José in Carmen, and Dan Hill in the world premiere of Christopher Theofanidis’ Heart of a Soldier.
Brian Jagde's other recent engagements have included Pinkerton at the Virginia Opera and Minnesota Opera, Rodolfo at Lorin Maazel’s Castleton Festival and Syracuse Opera, and his European debut as the title role in Werther at the Teatr Wielki Opera Poznan in Poland. He has also made appearances at Opera New Jersey, Chautauqua Opera, Opera Company of the Highlands, and Des Moines Metro Opera.
Mr. Jagde holds Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees in Voice and Opera Studies from The Purchase College-Conservatory of Music. The second-prize winner at the 2012 Operalia Competition with Placido Domingo, Mr. Jagde won accolades for his interpretations of Wagner-Strauss repertoire with the Birgit Nilsson Prize.
