Dale Duesing has appeared as a solo recitalist in Europe and in the United States and has sung in many of the leading opera houses of the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, New York, San Francisco and Chicago Lyric Operas, at La Scala, Milan, the Paris Opera, Gran Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Barcelona, the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich and at the Edinburgh, Glyndebourne, Aix and Salzburg Festivals.
He has recorded 'Don Giovanni' with Karl Böhm and Zemlinsky's 'Lyric Symphony' for DG, and Guglielmo on the EMI recording of 'Cosi fan Tutte' under Bernard Haitink. He was awarded a Grammy for his recording of Barber's 'The Lovers' with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Andrew Schenck.
He made his directorial debut at Frankfurt Opera with 'Viaggio in Rheims' to sensational critical acclaim and was nominated for Opernwelt’s best production and best director. He has also directed 'Medea' for the Nationale Reisopera and 'The Rape of Lucretia' for Frankfurt Opera. Performing engagements include Alberich for the Aix-en-Provence and Salzburg festivals, Prus for the Netherlands Opera and future directing plans include Chabrier's 'L'etoile' for the Berlin Deutsche Staatsoper, the 'St John Passion' for the Nationale Reisopera and 'Otello' and 'Les Contes d'Hoffmann' for Frankfurt Opera.
