Damian Iorio regularly guest conducts orchestras such as the London Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, Estonian National Symphony, and St Petersburg Philharmonic. Iorio’s work on the international opera scene includes his recent debut at Central City Opera, Denver with Britten The Rape of Lucretia, which garnered much praise in the international press. In June 2007 he made his debut at Glyndebourne Festival Opera with performances of Verdi Macbeth, where he worked alongside Vladimir Jurowski.
In the 2008/9 season he worked alongside Jiri Belohalvek, when he conducted Smetana The Bartered Bride at the Opera de Paris. He also conducted a new production of Verdi Macbeth at the National Theatre Brno. Iorio has also conducted successful new productions in Italy of Britten's Curlew River and Albert Herring at Accademia della Scala, Milan, and Maggio Musicale, Florence.
