Biography

Thanks to Davinia Rodriguez's long and profitable collaboration with the Filarmonica of Gran Canaria and with the pianist Julio Muñoz, she has mostly done concert activity. She has also performed in her opera repertory, obtaining a great success with the debut in the opera Così fan tutte (role of Despina), Nozze di Figaro (Susanna), Matrimonio segreto (Carolina), Elisir d'Amore (Giannetta e Adina), Viaggio a Reims at the Rossini Opera Festival and La Regina della Notte (Magic Flute) at the Music Weeks of the Dresden Festival, conducted by Gianandrea Noseda.

Recently she has sung the role of La Regina della Notte (Magic Flute) at the Theatre Carlo Felice in Genoa.

She has been conducted by Antonì Ros Marbà, Enrique Garcia Ascensio, David Gimenez, Roger Roussel, Riccardo Frizza, Alberto Zedda and Gianandrea Noseda.

She has sung the role of La Regina della Notte (Magic Flute) at the Staatstheater of Stuttgart, West Side Story in Paris and Wien, and L' Infante e i Sortilegi of Ravel at the San Carlo theatre in Naples,Carmen (Micaela) in Bergamo and Brescia, she also had a great success in her Tokyo's debut in Santory Hall singing Don Giovanni (Zerlina) conducted by Nicola Luisotti. She sang at Macerata Festival the new opera La maletendu, L'Italiana in Algeri at Teatro Real in Madrid, La Vedova allegra at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Un giorno di Regno in Parma, Così fan tutte at Tokyo Suntory Hall and, recently, L'Italiana in Algeri in Las Palmas and Juditha triumphans in Macerata.

Her future engagements are: Lucia di Lammermoor, Orfeo e Euridice and Rigoletto in Seattle, La Vedona Allegra in Verona, Elisir d'amore in Tokyo. Furthermore, after the great success obtained at Suntory Hall in Tokyo, she will take part in a tournée of important recitals and concerts throughout Japan.
