Biography

Eglise Gutiérrez's Covent Garden debut took place in September of 2009 in the title role of the rare Donizetti opera, Linda di Chamounix, issued on CD by Opera Rara. She returned to Covent Garden and had a great success in the role of the Fée in Massenet's rarely performed Cendrillon - a role in which she triumphed at the Santa Fe opera in 2006 and at the Opéra Comique in 2010.

Eglise Gutiérrez's future engagements include the Four Heroines in Les Contes d’Hoffmann for her debut at Grand Teatro de Liceu in Barcelona, her La Monnaie debut as La Fée in Cendrillon, the role of Amina in La sonnambula at Covent Garden, and her return to L’Opéra Comique as Elvire in a new production of Auber’s La Muette de Portici.  She will also make her Festival Alejandro Granda debut in Lima, Peru as Lucia, she will be heard at Caramoor Festival as Giulietta in I Capuleti e I Montecchi and returns to Grand Teatro de Liceu as La Fée.
