Biography

Highlights of Helene Grimaud's 2009/10 season included appearing at Lucerne Festival in four concerts as Artiste Etoile, a joint recital in Paris with Rolando Villazón, concerts with the Berliner Philharmoniker and hugely successful debut recitals in Seoul, Shanghai and Beijing.

The 2010/11 season features an international recital tour encompassing Europe, USA and Japan; concerts with the San Francisco Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig and London Philharmonic Orchestra; and a return to Beijing for the annual New Year Concerts. Further ahead, Hélène Grimaud plans performances and tours with Lucerne Festival Orchestra and Claudio Abbado, Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia with Antonio Pappano, Pittsburgh Symphony and Manfred Honneck and with Wiener Philharmoniker with both Andris Nelsons and Yannick Nézet-Séguin. 

Hélène has recorded exclusively for Deutsche Grammophon since 2002 and has released a string of imaginative CDs encompassing works by Bach, Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, Bartók, Rachmaninov and Pärt.
