Born in Vienna, Ingeborg Baldaszti began playing the piano from the age of seven. She began her studies at the Vienna University of Music two years later with Elisabeth Dvorak-Weisshaar, Hans Graf, Dianko Illiew and Antonio Victorino D'Almeida. 1991 First Prize at the 'Grand Prix Franz Schubert' of the International Schubert Society. 1995 Chair in the Board of the International Chopin Society for her exceptional Chopin interpretations. 1996 "Artist of the Year", appointed by the Austrian music magazine SIMs.
