Biography

Konstantin Wolff's repertoire includes Handel’s Messiah and Rodelinda, the oratorios by J.S. Bach, Die Schöpfung by Haydn, Beethoven’s IX Symphony, Mendelssohn’s Paulus, Oratorio de Noel by Saint-Saëns and the Requiems by Mozart, Verdi and Fauré.

Konstantin Wolff has already appeared in many European concert halls and theatres, such as Alte Oper Frankfurt, Théâtre des Champs Élysées Paris, Großes Festspielhaus Salzburg, Lincoln Center New York and Barbican London. He has been invited to several international festivals and has worked with conductors like C. Abbado, G. Albrecht (Orchester der Oper Frankfurt), W. Gönnenwein, A. Francis, N. McGegan (Capella Savaria), A. Curtis (Il Complesso Barocco), William Christie and Sir Simon Rattle (Berliner Philharmoniker). With the Vokalensemble Rastatt he has recorded two CDs with sacred cantatas of G.P.Telemann and D. Buxtehude (Carus Label).

In 2006, he was part of a production entitled Mozart Short Cuts directed by Macha Makeïeff and Jérôme Deschamps touring to theatres through France and Benelux.

In 2007, Wolff made his debut in Brussels at the Theatre de la Monnaie in Mernier’s creation entitled “Frühlingserwachen”, returned to Opéra de Lyon to sing Masetto in a new production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni and also made his debut in Zurich as Zoroastro, in Handel’s Orlando.

He made his Viennese debut as Obrazzano, Tancredi at Theater an der Wien in 2009 and future engagements include new productions of Cosi Fan tutte (Don Alfonso) in Baden Baden and Rodelinda at Theater an der Wien under Nikolaus Harnoncourt.

In 2008, his first recital album named Victor Hugo en Musique, together with pianist Trung Sam was released on Harmonia Mundi.
