Laura Angelica Carrasco

Laura Angelica Carrasco began her music studies at the Escuela de Bellas Artes of the Universidad Michoacana and the Escuela Superior de Música of the Conservatorio de Las Rosas, continuing them in the USA. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Collaborative Piano at Shenandoah University in Virginia. There she was also winner of two of the Annual Baroque Music Competitions. Laura Carrasco earned her Master’s Degree in Organ at the North Carolina School of the Arts of the University of North Carolina and currently the Doctoral degree at the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester, New York.

Her professors have been Dr. John E. Mitchener and Dr. Hans Davidsson, and has performed in masterclasses and courses withJean Guillou, James D. Christie, Guy Bovet, Malcolm Bilson, Hannfried Lucke, William Porter, and Rudolph Lutz. Laura Carrasco has performed in concertante works (organ, harpsichord, and piano) with the Aguascalientes, Coyoacán, Michoacán, Guanajuato, Carlos Chávez, and the Escuela Superior de Música del I.N.B.A. symphony orchestras, as well as with the Jalisco Philharmonic, the Camerata de Michoacán and the Orquesta de Cámara de la Universidad Michoacana.
