Laura Angelica Carrasco
Laura Angelica Carrasco appeared as soloist with the NCSA Percussion Ensemble in North Carolina in 2001. She has performed individual recitals and as a member of the Trio Morelia in France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, and the USA, ahere she has performed in the Bach-Handel Festivals in Virginia and in the series L’Organo of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in South Carolina. In the year 2001, Laura Carrasco presented in the USA the complete known works for organ of the mexican composer Joseph de Torres, and organized in Mexico the continental premier of the newly rediscovered Gloria by G. F. Handel.
She was also selected to participate in the international recital that took place in the Saint-Eustache Church, Paris, in august of 2001. She has received first prizes at the soloist competitions organized by the Filarmónica de Jalisco, and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Michoacán and made the first recording in concert organ of the Concertino for organ and orchestra of the composer Miguel Bernal Jiménez for the Warner label.
