In 2005, American Tenor Marlin Miller was seen at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris as Quint in a revival of Luc Bondy’s acclaimed production of Britten The Turn of the Screw that had also been seen at the Wiener Festwochen in 2002 and at the Edinburgh International Festival in 2003. In the same year Marlin Miller had made his Swiss debut at L’Opéra de Lausanne singing the title role in The Tales of Hoffmann in a new production by Laurent Pelly, conducted by Mark Minkowski. He went on to sing the same role at the Tri-cities opera in New York State. In the season 2003-2004 Marlin Miller sang his first Tom Rakewell at the Vereinigte Bühnen Graz in a new production of The Rake’s Progress as well as Tamino, Die Zauberflöte, La Périchole and Cassio, Otello at the same theatre.
