Matthew Plenk: A recent graduate of the Metropolitan Opera Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, Mr. Plenk made his Metropolitan Opera debut in the 2007/2008 season as the Sailor’s Voice in Tristan und Isolde under the baton of Maestro James Levine, a role he repeated under the baton of Daniel Barenboim. He has also appeared at the Met as the Song Seller in Il Tabbaro and Marcellus in Hamlet. Other past opera engagements have included Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at the Boston Lyric Opera, and Rodolfo in La Bohème, Ferrando in Così fan tutte, Flute in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Nanki-poo in The Mikado, and Kudrjás in Janácek’s Kat’a Kabanová with the Yale Opera.
