Plamena Mangova came to international prominence in 2007 when she was awarded second prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition Brussels. In the same year her first solo CD recording (Shostakovich) was awarded a “Diapason d'Or de l'Année”.
Plamena Mangova works with orchestras such as Verbier Festival, BBC Philharmonic, English Chamber, Luxembourg Philharmonic, Belgian National, St Petersburg, MDR Leipzig, RTVE Symphony, Netherlands Radio Chamber, Verbier Festival Chamber, Tchaikovsky Symphony, Sinfonia Varsovia, Tokyo Philharmonic and conductor collaborations include Sir Colin Davis, Krivine, Weller, Otaka, van Zweden, François-Xavier Roth.
Plamena Mangova's chamber music partners include Augustin Dumay, Maria João Pirеs, Boris Berezovsky, Jian Wang, Nobuko Imai, Alexander Kniazev and Ysaye String Quartet.
Plamena Mangova is a regular visitor to festivals such as La Folle Journée Nantes and Tokyo, La Roque d'Anthéron, Santander, Sommets Musicaux, Montpellier Radio France, Menton, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Bach Akademie Stuttgart.
