Roman Fric: As the winner of the Fryderik Chopin International Competition in Mariánské Lázně, Czech Republic, he spent some time in the composer's country, playing recitals. He also won the Ludwig van Beethoven International Competition in Hradec nad Moravicí, Czech Republic, and the International Piano Competition in Annemasse - Gaillard, France (in 1998).
Since these successes, Roman Frič performs extensively, both as soloist in concertos with orchestras (Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, North Czech Philharmonic Teplice, Sofia Philharmonic, State Philharmonic Orchestra Košice) under such conductors as Tomáš Koutník, František Preisler, Charles Olivieri-Munroe, Claire Fox Hillard, and in recital (Austra, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Poland, and others); and records for the Czech Radio.
His first CD with the romantic music by Liszt and Balakirev was published by notabene. Mr. Frič is also very active playing chamber music.
