Serena Daolio graduated from the A. Boito Conservatoire in Parma where she studied under the guidance of Donatella Saccardi and Wilma Colla. She then undertook Masterclasses with renowned soprano Renata Scotto and Virginia Zeani. She was the winner of several Competitions as Masini, Zandonai, Primo Palcoscenico and was also a finalist in the Belvedere Competition in Wien, Voci Verdiane in Busseto and Jaume Aragall International Singing Competition in Spain.
In 2004 Serena won First Prize at the Francisco Vinas International Competition in Barcelona and was awarded also with Special Prize as Best Verdi Soprano as well as the Jury Prize and the Audience Prize. Renowned baritone Renato Bruson has since conferred a Special Prize on her as a distinguished young singer.
