Sharon Isbin discography / recordings

Ms. Isbin has over 25 recordings, and has been acclaimed for expanding the guitar repertoire with some of the finest new works of the century. She was a GRAMMY® Award winner for “Best Instrumental Soloist,” which made her the first classical guitarist in 28 years to win a GRAMMY®. Her world premiere recording of concerti written for her by Academy Award winner Tan Dun and Pulitzer Prize winner Christopher Rouse also won a GRAMMY®.
Among Ms. Isbin’s latest releases is the Latin GRAMMY® nominated recording of the Rodrigo, Ponce and Villa-Lobos concerti with the New York Philharmonic, which made her the only guitarist to record with the New York Philharmonic, and the second ever to perform with them. Sharon Isbin is featured on the soundtrack of Martin Scorsese’s Academy Award winning "The Departed" starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon, and as the closing track of Rolling Stones/Van Morrison/Allman Bros./Beach Boys compilation (Warner).
