Susana Gaspa opera roles include Serpina La serva padrone at Lisbon Conservatory, MimìLa bohème for British Youth Opera, Josephine Comedy on the Bridge(Martinu) at Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Dircea/Mochila No esculto la deidad e Iphigenia en tracia (De Nebra) at Zürich Grossmünster, title role The Little Prince (Daniel Schvetz) at Teatro da Trinidade, EuridiceOrfeo ed Euridice at Convento de Mafra and Papagena Die Zauberflöte at Quinta da Regaleira. She also appears regularly in concert and recital, including recitals at St Martin in the Fields, St Olave’s Church, Winchester, Cambridge, Lisbon (Caloust Gulbenkian Foundation, Centro Cultural de Belém), France, Zürich, Malaysia and Mexico.
Susana Gaspa joined the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme in September 2011 and made her Royal Opera debut as Barbarina Le nozze di Figaro, followed by Ceprano’s Wife Rigoletto. In the staged production during Meet the Young Artists Week in the Linbury, she sang in Les Nuits d’étéand Aurore Le Portrait de Manon.
Highlights this season include Giannetta L’elisir d’amore, First InnocentThe Minotaur, Papagena Die Zauberflöte and Voice from Heaven Don Carlo.
