Vadim Repin was born in Siberia, Russia in 1971. He began playing violin at age 5. When he was only 11 years old, Vadim Repin won the Gold Medal at the Wieniawski Competition and, a result, made his recital debuts in most European capitals. In 1985, he debuted in Tokyo, Munich, Berlin, Helsinki. In 1986 Vadim Repin played at New York's Carnegie Hall. In 1987 Vadim Repin won the first prize at the Queen Elizabeth Competition.
Vadim Repin has performed with the world's greatest orchestras and conductors. Critics and music lovers admire his astonishing virtuosity, richness and variety of his sound together with poetry and sensitivity.
