Biography
In the 2009-10 season, Frederic Antoun will appear as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte with the Théâtre du Châtelet and Opera Montpellier; Florival in Gréty’s L’amant jaloux in a joint production at the Opéra-Comique and Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles; as well as Le Prince Charmant in Cendrillon with Opéra de Montréal and Opéra de Marseilles.
In the spring of 2010, Frédéric returns to Florida Grand Opera as Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia. In concert, he will appear as the tenor soloist in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Recent notable engagements include Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with Opera Atelier, Mylio in a concert performance of Lalo’s Le roi d’ys, with the American Symphony Orchestra at Avery Fisher Hall, Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola with Florida Grand Opera, Hyppolite in Rameau’s Hyppolite et Aricie with the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse under Emmanuelle Haïm, Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Calgary Opera, Idamante in Idomeneo with Opéra de Nancy; tenor soloist in Handel’s Dettingen Te Deum with San Francisco Symphony, Messa per Rossini with Festival International de Lanaudière, Handel’s L’Allegro, il Penseroso ed il Moderato with Ensemble Arion, and Messiah with the Vancouver Chamber Choir, Colorado Symphony, and Toronto Symphony.
