The Japanese soprano, Maki Mori, received degrees in singing from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, the Conservatorio di musica Giuseppe Verdi in Milan and the master's course of the Hochschule für Musik in Munich. Winner of numerous competitions including Plácido Domingo's Operalia Competition (Hamburg) and International Singing Competition Orfeo 2000 (Hanover), she is also the recipient of many special prizes for Lied and Bach-interpretation.
