Miklos Perenyi

Biography
In 1965 and 1966 Pablo Casals invited Miklós Perény to join his master classes in Zermatt and Puerto Rico and this was followed by invitations to perform at Marlboro Festival for four consecutive years.
Miklós Perényi has been a professor at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music since 1980 but his academic life has permitted him to futher develop as a performer with appearances at many of the international music festivals. These include Lucerne, Prague, Salzburg, Vienna, Hohenems, as well as in Japan and the United States, where, most recently, he performed at the Carnegie Hall in their Centenary Jubilee series.
Miklós Perényi has played regularly with a number of distinguished musicians in acclaimed sonata and chamber music concerts. These include Zoltán Kocsis, Dezso Ránki, András Schiff, the Takács and the Keller Quartet. His work is available on recordings under the Hungaroton, Quint, Decca and Metropolitan Video labels.
