Biography
Tobias Carron has established himself as one of the most sought-after flutist in Sweden. He has collaborated with conductors such as Myung-Whun Chung, Leif Segerstam and Esa-Pekka Salonen. He has made many recordings; flute concertos by Vivaldi and Bach's B minor suite with Moscow Virtuosi and Vladimir Spivakov at RCA, Sven-David Sandström’s Flute Concerto with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Leif Segerstam (released on the Caprice Records). The same record label has also published "Play Italian Music" and "Cafe 1930" with guitarist Per Skareng. Together with Mats Widlund he is artistic director of Sandvikens Chamber Orchestra.
Tobias teaches at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and was during 1992-008 solo flutist of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
